My name is Miki Fujiwara. I was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1997. Since early childhood, I have had a creative mind. I expressed this creativity through music, visual arts and language. Growing up in a bilingual household, I was exposed to both Japanese and English. Since I was a toddler, I spent a significant amount of time drawing. When I was six, I started to learn how to play the piano. My experience in classical training combined with drawing and language skills has helped me appreciate and develop the discipline and focus for painting.
My biggest influences are music and anime.
I am deeply inspired by Jazz. All of my art creations are a form of expression that capture jazz through visual art. I visualize harmonies that are vibrant, spontaneous, energetic and boundless, resembling a performer during an improvised solo.
Since childhood, I have always loved anime. I love the depth, styles and the intricately designed visuals as well as the character designs of anime. I express the infinite array of possibilities that anime represents through my artwork.
